I’m so excited to share Heather + Luke’s wedding with you. Not just because the day was perfect and I love the photos, but because they are such a cool couple. Relaxed is an understatement.
I started the day at the grooms dressing location and kept ringing the front door with no answer. So decided to call Luke, no answer. I started thinking I had the wrong house, so ventured around the back of the house to find the boys swimming in the pool. So began the shower procession, but all in a calm style. My shoot consisted of photographing groomsmen ironing, adjusting ties, doing hair and then bolting out the door. Mind you they weren’t stressed.
My next stop was the brides dressing location, in true bride style, everyone was organised and they got ready at a calm pace.
The celebrations took place at Athol Hall, a favourite of mine. A little bit of 1800’s country charm on the shores of Sydney Harbour. I love that everything is catered for at this venue. You have the most glorious gardens where the ceremony took place. The guests have a game of bocce , croquet and lawn bolls while the bridal party explore the shores of the harbour, which is nothing short of magnificent and then the reception rocks on in the heritage house whilst Kookaburra’s hang out in the trees. It’s simply perfect.
Heather and Luke congratulations, you make a beautiful couple! Thanks for having me photograph your wedding day. You had a ball and I loved capturing every moment of it.
