Fisherman, Amazon.

Travel Photography

Chad and I had an amazing three month adventure last year. We traveled to South America, Cuba and New York. I thought it was time to share some of the moments I captured along the way, so Iv’e started going through the photos, which I’m also sharing on Paper Tree Tumblr. This photo was taken in Iquitos, the largest city in the Peruvian rainforest, located on the Amazon River. It’s a crazy place, and we fell in love the moment we arrived. The frenzied buzz of the motor rickshaws and motorbikes that run 24/7 is a strange juxtaposition with the tranquility of the Amazon River. As soon as you leave it’s shores and venture down the river you are in a completely other world. Back to nature and simplicity, it’s like stepping back in time.
